How Does a Fresh Coat of Paint Affect Your Church?

Decorative painting and stained glass windows are hallmarks of many churches in the Northeast U.S. These extra touches create a sense of reverence and worship not found in modern or storefront churches devoid of religious symbols and decorative touches. But what do you do when your church's decor begins to fade, crack, or peel due to age and weathering? You call in a church painting project expert.

Your church painting project can be completed in phases so there's no need to cancel, delay, or relocate church services. From gold leaf capitols to murals and wall painting, a fresh coat of paint can benefit your church in many ways.

Benefits of Investing in a Church Painting Project

When your church gets a fresh coat of paint, it's like breathing a breath of fresh air into your congregation. You'll experience renewed excitement, attendance, and interest. When those in the community see you are investing in your church building, they will also show renewed interest in your church. Church building improvement show that your church is alive and vibrantly growing and serving the community.

Touching up church murals and restoring decorative painting can also help increase the value of your church building. Your church can experience renewed revival and interest, simply from a restorative painting project. Church Historic Restoration Project in Massachusetts

05 Jul 2012

Historic churches are beautiful and provide us a place to reflect and find peace. When they are damaged due to water or fire, or run down from the passage of time, it is important to find people who cherish your worship site as much as you do. Egan's Church Furnishings and Restorations is well known for our ability to help you repair, restore or supply your church or worship site.

The top picture is the “before” picture of St. Patrick in Whitinsville, MA. part of the Diocese of Worcester, MA, which suffered heavy water damage.

Heavy water damage to the interior plaster of the church caused the decorative moldings, faux painting and figurative painting to peel. The plaster was falling from the walls and ceiling as well.

St. Patrick’s contacted Egan’s Church Furnishings and Restorations to help them with their church repairs. Intense historic restoration was needed to return this church to its previous splendor.

The bottom picture is the “after” picture of St. Patrick’s Whitinsville .

Exact historic replication was done of the decorative church painting. We also repaired the moldings which we crafted by hand.

During the church restoration and repair process, St. Patrick's was able to hold their church services every single weekend!

Egan’s Church Furnishings and Restorations has Craftsmanship that is unmatched in the industry.

If your church needs new interior painting, decorative painting, gold leaf Capitols, decorative reredos, or plaster restoration you need someone you can trust.

The most challenging aspect of interior church painting is the disruption to your mass service schedule. What if you could have the interior of your church painted and hold church services even while your church is being restored?

Egan's Church Furnishings and Restorations works with the worship schedule of the church for minimal or no interruption to services. We can do this because we are experts at interior church painting. We bring in a special lift so that there is no scaffolding to disturb your church services. Therefore there is no interruptions to services and collections. Without scaffolding, the prices are dramatically reduced.

Egan’s can restore paintings and artwork, do plaster restorations, paint the church walls with stenciling, paint with gold leaf or faux painting. We have been painting and restoring churches in New England, New York and New Jersey since 1965.
