Egan's Church Furnishings and Restorations is proud to be a part of the rebuilding of the beautiful St Brigid Catholic Church in Manhattan.  After extensive structural problems were discovered several years ago, St Brigid's was scheduled to be closed for safety.  However, a generous donor came forward to assist the Archdiocese of New York with saving this historic site.

Egan's was asked by the Archdiocese of New York to assist with many of the interior furnishings and the restoration of some of the old items held in storage from the original site.   We assisted with the fabrication of all solid oak new church pews in order to make them look similar to the original.  We also fabricated portable pew kneelers, church chairs and frontal screens.  Additionally, we restored the old wooden altar to be used for the tabernacle, the old wooden stations of the cross, the numerous wood religious statues, moved and installed an old solid marble baptismal font and supplied numerous candlesticks and liturgical accessories.

St Brigid's Church in New York has now been restored to her original beauty and is scheduled to be rededicated on January 27 by both  Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York and  Cardinal Egan, Archbishop Emeritas.

Egan's Church Furnishings and Restorations would like to say thank you to The Archdiocese of New York, Michael Doyle AIA (Acheson, Doyle Architects), Jim Black (associate architect), David Maddox from the Archdiocese Facilities Office and Reverend Lorenzo Ato, Pastor.
